Come celebrate the opening of Discovery Park! We are so lucky to live somewhere where there is so much money to go towards such things. There is now a lake in Bend proper. Wow! Overview: A new community park located within the NorthWest Crossing neighborhood. The project will feature a 3-acre lake with approximately 12 acres of developed park and about 20 acres of open space. Current Update: Construction of Discovery Park is almost complete with final landscaping work extending through the spring of 2015. The public is being asked to help protect the newly installed plants and turf by refraining from entering the site until the park opens in the early summer of 2015.
